Mine and the groups #1 wine was the 2008 Domaine Château De La Tour Clos Vougeot.
2002 Domaine Michel Gaunoux Pommard 1er Cru Les Grands Épenots - This was mine and the groups #3 wine in a very good line-up! Everything was well integrated and the wine was very balanced. Personally, I think this wine is reaching the end of its drinking window and would have liked to have tried it a couple years ago. Make no mistake though, the wine is drinking very well right now! The tannins and acidity were fading, but the fruit and tertiary flavors were very much present. What the wine lacked in zip and liveliness, it more than made up with a palate that balanced red fruit (mostly tart cherry) with spice and a hint of cedar, with forest floor and a hint of leather lurking in the background. This was delicious, and an excellent example of a well aged Burgundy! 91+, very close to 92!

Red Burgundy Covid-Style (Everyone's House): The highlight of this wine is the minerality. There is flint, wet rocks, earth, loam, ripe red cherry and cedar.
