Pretty good considering the vintage, however not at the level one can expect from "Le Bourg". Well balanced, good structure, great complexity, but the cab franc is not ripe here. Quite green on the palate, pretty low acidity, elegant tanins, moderate + length. Should age well, but not sure it will really improve over time.

A relaxed afternoon with two crazy guys (@Private location, Solingen): Glass: Zalto Universal Opened about 2h before, decanted right before drinking. Perfect bottle, bought at release. Clear, medium raspberry color. Wonderful deep and intense nose with lots of herbs, red fruit, spices. On the palate very elegant and balanced. Great acidity, lots of cassis, pepper and garden herbs. Beautiful texture, lots of pressure and depth. Very long. Slowly reaching its peak, but at least potential for further development of 10+ years. 95-96

One of those bottles of wine that seems to have an extra level. Alive and shifting, eluding description, it would have been hard to pinpoint if drunk blind. (Decanted for 2 hours after seeming oaky upon opening.)

unfortunately was not ready to drink - it was a bit too oaky and it was fairly short on the palate/finish. Got stumped by all the wine around it.

Still painfully young. Needs plenty of time.
