amazingly fresh, drinking beautifully. Had a strong aroma of fern/ paper mill smoke. Long, foscussed and straight. An impressive wine. Drink or hold some 5 more years easy.

Beautiful mature and rustic bouquet with minerals and red fruits. On the palate however more tertiary and a high dose of acidity. Although still drinkable, I guess the wine is past its prime. No score.

Game and Rhone Tasting @ Peggy's (Villa Reynart, Opoeteren): Pfew... didn't like this one very much... Although its elegant, refreshing and modest in its presentation, I had the impression that this was well past its prime and struggling to stay alive. Decayed leaces, blood, iron/rust, drying finish. 14,5/20

My favorite Cote Rotie ever, and has since release, except for Guigal;s big boys. Holding up beautifully after 15 years. Wait another few years before attacking my mags.

from mag. Still a baby. Beautiful nose of smoke and tar, light on the palate with long finish.
