A spicy and almost peppery nose, but rather weak bodied and not a lot of distinctive tastes. Didn't quite hold up to the steak I paired it with. Easy drinker but I expect more from a cab, even if I do settle for Alexander Valley.
77/18 Cab/Merlot/rest blending. Nose not showy, pleasant, black fruit, roses, fresh herbs. Palate shows more strength, but still balanced, elegant, smooth. Tannins medium plus, acidity medium. Solid offering, I like the Jordans with more age, hold if you can.
Paired with grilled ribeyes. Reddish purple color. Medium bodied wine with notes of red currants and cherries. Fairly consistent quality compared to the other vintages of this wine I have had. This fell in the middle of the pack among the 1982, 1985 and 2002. 89-90 points.
