Burnt stem fireworks leaped out of the glass, distinctively Leroy. No trace of rusticity and waves of red fruits made it wash down achingly fast. 445/2997.

Incredibly enticing aromas showing ripe black cherry, baking spice and so much floral charm. Absolutely great nose, followed by similar flavors, just slightly robust or powerful. Exciting flavors, just Villages level density.

Smoky, reductive aromatics for first 90 minutes then floral notes peeking through. Has the polish throughout, light oak notes. Depth and intensity on palate with acid rather than sweet finish, perhaps reflecting Cote de Beaune. (1467/2997)
