Great cherry, spice and floral nose. The pallet follows the nose with added earthy notes of new leather. Soft tannins and a long finish. Drinking beautifully now.

Youthful light ruby color; nose has great intensity with ripe spicy red fruits, slightly stemmy to give it complexity, nice balance; palate is light-medium bodied, juicy red fruits, some slight black cherry, great concentration of fresh clean fruits, good acidity to provide freshness and lift, a tad on the simpler side, midpalate isn't as complex or dense as the early palate; finish is medium length. This is a very good Pinot, young, nose>palate in terms of character, that could certainly use a little time to come together and develop more complexity. Right now the palate is on the simpler side, but very enjoyable (and the nose is great). A solid premier cru. 90+

Chateau de Maltroye Cellar Visit and Tasting (Chassagne-Montrachet): Tasting at Chateau. Delicately floral with light red fruit on nose. Elegant and balanced red fruit on palate with hints of spice. will be very enjoyable young.
