  Dark red fruit on the nose with hints of black fruit and cedar as well. A bit forceful on the palate (15% its so subtle) with cola and dark cherry flavors dominating a subordinate dark chocolate element. More in the opulent new world style than the austere but still showing good acidity and tannin structure. This wine is in a nicely balanced place after 8+years though. Finish is long and supple with a dryness that says this wine will still be tasting good for several years to come, though its tasting fine now :-)

  Decanted thru aerator for 20 min and drank over 3?hrs. Enough sediment to clog aerator. Opaque, maroon, black color; plum and blackberries with raspberry and cherry on long finish. Full-bodied but earthy. Big fruit, but not jammy. Wonderful!

  Decanted for 2 hrs. Big dark fruit nose. Big ripe blackberry tastes along with other dark fruits and a hint of mocha. Consistent tastes throughout the bottle.
