  Popped, poured, breathed in glasses 30 minutes, consumed over next hour. This is just flat-out delicious, all parts singing in harmony, wonderful balance, drinking fabulously. My last bottle, but I believe this will continue to cruise in well-cooled cellars.

  opened 6 years after my first bottle and very consistent notes. Aging well and needed about 30 min to open up. Immediately after uncorking the tannins were still harsh and somewhat bitter, but with air, there is an expansiveness that comes out. The bitterness now seems soft and appropriate - like stone fruit pits, coupled with dark cherries and vibrant acidity. Still a most excellent wine.

  Popped, poured, breathed in glasses 60 minutes, consumed over next 2 hours. I'm usually not a fan of Sangiovese blended with Cabernet, but Rampolla does a great job. The effect is subtle and it works. Nice, bright acids, elegant. Developing nicely. Very harmonious.
