Purple-crimson. Lush, full nose: currants and cherries, followed by floral notes of roses. This was still fresh, with lovely fruit and some secondary notes of earth, tar and sour cherry. The finish was long and complex -- baking spice, cinnamon, milk chocolate. Well worth the wait.

Popped the bottle mainly because Cellar Tracker's drinking window showed it as ending in 2016. Was curious if it would be a tired / over-the-hill bottle in 2017. It wasn't. Good acid, noticeable oak still. Cherry / vanilla dominated, and felt a little hotter than the 13.5% it advertised. Grand bottle that could have went several more years.

Pretty cherry red. No signs of old age, fully integrated tannins. Delicate acidity giving great structure and a long finish. This is spectacular.

PnP with duck. Nice, smooth, oak well integrated, if a bit on the Cali candy side. A bitter note on the finish. Expensive for what it is. 13.5%
