Nice wine. Big lush dark berries, spice, smoke, touch of meat. New world all the way, but balanced for the style. Enjoyable at $25, though not a must buy.

Benefits from an hour of decanting and still very drinkable after a full day of decanting. More lingering fruit than the 2005 Cougar Crest Syrah Reserve. Blackberry and blueberry fruit, earthy spices, balanced acids, spectacular food-friendly wine with everything in balance and a smooth mouthfeel. This wine is the same wine as the 2006 Syrah Reserve on CellarTracker- all of the bottles list Stellar Vineyard as the source.
