  Dark golden yellow. Oxidised nose with concontraded apple juice notes.
  On the palate less oxidised, but clearly getting on (17years only) and not keeping as well as it's big brother (unknown provenance does not help!), finish has some balanced acidity but is going sherry like, front and mid has some faint fruit (apple/apricot) but this bottle is not wonderful, and certainly not great.
  will probably use this remainer as a cooking wine to make a nice sauce, as the flavours are not bad, just lacking freshness and fruit/complexity on the palate, no point in throwing a good sauce base away! Maybe a pork belly for tomorrow!
