white fruits, white flower, mineral, stone fruits, wet stone, little sesame. Long finish with medium+ flavor intensity. Finish is salty, like drinking water from the ocean. Good acidity but lack of complexity. It's not as powerful as a Montrachet.

Impressive ripeness control, kept getting broader throughout lunch. Peach, apricot, yellow fruit, great tone of minerality, oceanic salinity, sunny palate, lots of spices in between. Testament to the winemaking. 94-95

Another Saturday at Knightsbridge - mostly blind (Northbrook, IL): Tasted double blind. Started very musty and unbalanced, I feared it flawed, and while the mustiness went away, what remained was very lush, too-ripe fruit and plenty of new oak with a rich and buttery character. Big and intense, it really showed Grand Cru density to me, but i was shocked to see this as Montrachet, given its lack of finesse or elegance. I would not think this will get better with more time in cellar. Thanks to Doctor Tom for bringing, sad how it showed.

Saturday Tasting Group (Knightsbridge Wine Shop (Northbrook, IL)): **Open two weeks in cooler.** Super buttery cotton candy. Ripe and fatty. Super creamy and nut driven. Cantaloupe melon, lots of minerality - wet marble or granite. Really flinty and still some sulfuric action left in the bottle which was great. Amazing this was still going after that time open.

Open 30 mns before and decanted. Not unpleasant but not balanced. Very rich and alcoholic.
