  • The 2004 Referts has developed nicely and is drinking well now. The 2004 vegetal (green peas?) notes add complexity, and the fresh acidity gives the wine amazing purity and focus. Great creamy mouth feel and lots of minerals on the long finish. The sweetest and most expressive Arnaud Ente that I have tasted.

This Referts will continue to drink well for at least 4-5 years, but considering how fast other 2004 white premier crus have evolved, I will visit this one frequently, just in case. Having said that, the wine shows encouraging energy which makes me think that it may last much longer. Beautiful wine. I bought more after tasting.

  • Quite a full mid golden yellow in the decanter. Lovely nose, quite floral with good underlying minerality and a slightly herbal edge that comes through nicely towards the end of the mid-palate too. The attack is positive and quite full and rounded, there's a nice weight and density here. Mineral, fresh and slightly herbal through the mid-palate and onto the medium long finish. This is very good indeed. benefited from being decanted and served not too cool. ****

  • Good structure and minerality, but lacks the degree of complexity that I expect from high end white burgundy. Still very good though.

  • Really good. Really young. Don't open another for a few years.
