Not my style - too glycerol and thick. The nose smells nice, plummy fruit, brambles, and some wood. But besides the mouthfeel there's also a woody tannic element on the mid-palate that is not to my taste.
I love this Syrah. It's big with plumb and blackberry and some solid oakiness. However, I love the smoke this has with it, just a wonderful wine for pulled pork...this wine compares to some of the best Syrah's that cost double of what its asking for!
infinitely better and more velvety on the second day. first day - harsh, awkward and good but not great. second day - complex flavors, deep dark fruits. drink this but give it air first...you will thank me you did
