Lots of interest on the fully developed nose. Spiced apple pie, hazelnuts and hay. Concentrated and delicious on the palate with a lovely spine of acidity and a long finish. Delicious, mature wine but time to drink up.
WSET Notes:
Medium gold.
Pronounced on the nose with dried apple, dried pear, cream, honey, hazelnut, baked apple, wet stone, caramel, nutmeg and hay. Fully developed.
Pronounced and dry on the palate. Medium body, high acidity, medium alcohol, long finish.
Drink now. Not suitable for ageing or further ageing.

Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru aux Boudots Dinner (Formento's - Chicago IL): Frankly surprised by the wine's freshness with plenty of green and yellow apple. If blind, I'd have thought much younger from a moderately ripe vintage (2011?), but moderate density would have made mw think (a good) Village level wine. Very good now through the next few years.

Consumed from a 375 mL. Light golden color. Aromas of almond, white peach, and stone. Medium bodied on the palate some lemon zest, good acidity, saline minerality, and great balance. Aging well with evidence of some life yet ahead of it.

Nice lemon aromas and flavors. I feel that the other bottle tasted on 6/26/10 was far superior as this one is somewhat flat. Not sure if it's bottle variance or just a little too much cellar time. Some would probably say it's just right but I prefer more acidic presence, and typically that's what you get in a Sauzet. Nonetheless a well made 1er PM.

From .375, nicely integrated palate with lemon, minerals and some oak on palate. I would drink this soon rather than hold.
