Round and mature. Most at the table didn't get near the vintage in our guessing games. Quite ready, viscous, excellent flavour which improved in the glass for several hours. My last bottle. I wouldn't recommend keeping it for long at this stage. Mine was well cellared.
Drank the 2004 Desire and Clos du Barre side by side. Mid yellow color, on the nose along with hints citrus. This was richer, fuller, more complex, more energy and longer finish than the Desiree. Quite a nice wine
Rich and opulent. Good concentration of Peach fruit tinged with a dollop of butter. There’s some honeysuckle development and it is round in the mouth filling every crevice. Absolutely ready to go right now.
Still light yellow. Nose is peach and apple with a touch of hazelnut and a dollop of new oak. Unfolded well on the palate and not too alcoholic. Good balance. Young but very pleasing and a nice accompaniment to tuna.
