  Renensaad continues to give this wine 94 points, three times already. That is unfair to the community who rely on balanced and objective scores and commentary, which he/she never leaves (he does not accept any, either). Is Renensaad an employee of Almaviva? FYI, I have two bottles of the 2009 EPU and adore the wines from this place.

  Aspecto brilhante, vivo, com pequeno alo. Aroma de especiarias, baunilha, amora. Taninos presentes e saborosos, boca fresca com aspecto de menta. Final longo e correto. Esta é a segunda de quatro garrafas. De 2013 para cá não mudou muito. Ainda é um jovem de 8 anos. Está em plena forma, ainda distante do seu auge. Vai longe!!!!

  Late Night Friday at UE Square (The Straits Wine Company @ UE Square): Aired in decanter for an hour.
  Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
  Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of green bell peppers, sweet dark fruits, blackberry jam. Developing.
  On the palate, dry, medium acidity, high alcohol, medium+ tannins, full body. Medium+ flavor intensity, with flavours of toasted oak, green bell peppers, blackberry jam, blackcurrants, licorice, cassis. Medium+ finish.
  Overall feel is fruity, a little simplistic, and the prevalence of herbaceousness. I wonder why I used to like this in the past.
  Good quality. May improve slightly and smoothen out over the next 3-4 years.
  Second label of Almaviva.

  O 2011 sai por R$230,00 na Wine.com .
  Fui in loco fazer a visita ao vinhedo e aproveitei para trazer algumas garrafinhas para o Brasil por menos da metade do preço. Meu plano é tomá-los de 2 em 2 anos para acompanhar a evolução.
  Corte predominante de Cabernet Sauvignon com Carménère, Merlot e Cabernet Franc.
  Visual ruby brilhante. Aroma fresco, complexo e delicado. Predomina alcaçuz, mas há notas minerais, de canela e abaunilhado da madeira. Bela acidez no gustativo, taninos bem presentes, elegantes e vivos. Final longuíssimo. Equilíbrio ótimo entre corpo e madeira.
