This red is a SWEET bomb. It also has a weird buffered/creamy characteristic to it. I noticed oak and some actual red wine flavors but they are of no use at consolation. Remove the alcohol and you have the perfect beverage for a 12 year old's birthday party with heavily iced cake, ice cream, and jelly beans.
Made the mistake of buying 2. Now I have to give one away. Enjoy your juvenile palate America, this wine is for you.

Spicy and juicy "Kiitchen Sink" style red, largely Zinfandel. Really enjoyed this on a weekday eve. Compared this 2010 blend to the 2011 Gnarly Head Old Vine Lodi Zin, which possibly due to the poor 2011 growing season simply does not bring the same depth. I prefer this 2010 blend to the 2011 all Zin from Gnarly strictly due to the spice and depth. Will be looking for more 2010 or skip right to 2012. This is a great match for summer grilling when your guests don't want to hear you discuss terroir/recent wine industry gossip as they throw this down the hatch and ask if you have any tequila. A lot of fun for $10!

This was far too sweet for my taste. Had some spice, lots of fruit and LOTS of sweet. I can see how some could enjoy, but not for me.
