Lots of citrus on the nose, with interesting hints of grapefruit and kiwi mixed together. Light and dry on the palate, but with surprising depth and complexity. I enjoyed the lemon zest and ruby grapefruit notes, and how they mixed with a subtle stone-fruit flavor. The finish is nice and precise, tapering off quickly.

First night notes. Pop & pour. Very pale straw color, crystal clear. Thick legs. I'm not familiar with Auxerrois grape, however, the initial nose is like a cross between Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay: there's fresh-cut grass and gooseberries along with a leesy thing in the background. The initial palate is tangy, but at the same time there's also a little bit of fresh Oregon strawberries. The midplate is balanced between steely/slate with fresh acidity and fleshy fruit (the strawberries again). The palate also seems like a mix between Sauv Blanc and Chard. The strawberries quickly exit. The back palate mostly showcases brisk acidity. Really shined with food (in this case grilled chicken with mushroom gravy). The only knock is that the finish is thin and fades fast. Tasty, but for what I paid ($24.00), there's better elegant (read: light-bodied) whites out there.

Delivers the acidity with gusto, as you'd guess upon first sniff (salt, minerals, white peach, some leesy notes). This rounds out nicely at midpalate and returns to pointed acidity on the finish. It's not so sharp that you can't enjoy it as an aperitif but it shines with food (in my case, pasta with pesto on night one, sauteed vegetables on night two). Clean, with stainless steel elevage.
