  • Showing a little maturing golden color now. This is ripe and rich but simultaneously bright, fresh, and precise. Deep and clean, with a great mix of savory, mineral, acid, and fruit. This has great depth, with layers upon layers of flavors and brilliant texture. Complicated enough to demand your attention, yet terribly passively enjoyable as well. A wine of contrasts that add up to a greater whole. FWIW, it was tremendously satisfying served with a pancetta and green pea orrechiette. At peak and stellar. Man do I wish I had more aged gruner. 94 pts
