Delicious wine, no decant. Ready to roll with a little work in the glass. A little oak and blue and black fruits on the nose. Velvety palate, sweet blueberry, blackberry. Integrated tannins with a little grip, mouthwatering acidity, medium plus finish. True to its score, will hold but think its fairly peaked. Not to share.
Took awhile to open up. Once it did, the oak influence was still very strong. After about an hour, strong syrupy red fruit notes started emerging. Pretty light weight for a California Syrah. Would hold and see how it develops.
