11.9% abv. Purple, opaque. Elegant nose, a mix of sweet smoke (hickoree?), dried flowers, a bit of black pepper and dark cherries. Medium bodied and richer than expected given the low alc. Felt like I noticed some residual sugar. Acidity sticks out a bit, reminds me of biting into a tart plum. Overall a complex & elegant wine that swings well above its price.
Dark purple color. Meat / iodine / black cherry on nose. Medium body, high acids / long finish. Paired well with steamed shrimp. 91-92 range (rated 91 before but has improved as I was probably a little too + before).
Decanted for 1 hour and served with smoked chicken on the bone - dark red color - bright cherry, floral & meat on nose (very nice) light to medium body, high acidity & bright cherry fruit profile (very fruit primary today) - reminded me of a nice Cru Beaujolais from Morgon. Medium+ finish and great food wine.90-91 range.
