  • Way over the hill. Minimal fruit. Acidic. Quite unpleasant.

  • This wine has fleshed out nicely since the last time I tried it a year and a half ago or so. Medium ruby at most, with cherry, tar, asian spices, and roses. Very clearly nebbiolo, I guessed new styled barolo. I was ready to guess 97, but the blle was revealed before hand, so so much for me really impressing my friends. A really floral and enticing nose. As an admirer of more traditional Barolo, I must admit that this wood was very well done. Medium full weighted on the palate, with sweet dark pitted fruits, cherries, more tar, exotic spices, and flowers, with a pinot like sap to the fruit. Still a touch young, but a delicious drink. A great showing 91+ pts.

  • Tasted unblinded at Region restaurant. Bright disc. Deep ruby/garnet robe with pink rim. Clean nose, showing a moderately intense bouquet of damp earth, raspberry, mushroom and cigar box. Full-bodied on the palate, with relatively high acidity, medium soft tannins and similar flavors as for the nose. Long, slightly tart finish.
