Such a light color for a 15 year old white. Peach stone fruit and spice from oak. Lovely restrained chardonnay with cut, lift and line/length. Such great acidity and tight focus. Pretty dense spice from strong oak component that seems resolved into the wine but overlays the fruit and gives body weight and heft. This easily will have 5 more years but at peak now I feel. The quintessential modern world chardonnay, albeit oak replete. Sumptuous finish is probably its strongest feature.

Polished this off with roast chicken...it proved to be a little more honeyed than I remember it; which isn't really surprising, but also still showing a little oak and the malolactic. Rich with a citrus underpin. Nice acid line and very light textured on the mid palate. Still showing really well.

Clean, pale gold. Initially restrained but opened up with time to reveal elegant oaky, peachy and green berry scents. More old world than new, it seemed a good start. Palate was a little underwhelming with oak overpowering the flavours present on the nose. Lacked something on the body....I'd even say a trifle dilute or in polite terms, "low intensity". Acidity waning. Finished strongly to make up for the disappointing palate. Its held up admirably for a 12 year old and the old world characteristics are attractive but I wouldnt buy again.

Tasted in a tasting against Jordans Nine Yards 2015. Initial impression: Delicate nose, slow to come out. Hard peach stone notes and short Second impression after about 1 hour of air: has opened out amazingly, elegant, restrained, peach notes still there but beautifully balanced acidity. smooth mouth feel Needs air ++
