Decanted for an hour. I don't drink much pinot but have always had a soft spot for this producer and when I saw this bottle at Esquin (rarely ever see these at retail in Washington), I pulled the plug for $30. Gorgeous nose of red fruits and touch of briar. Also, much red fruit on the palate which I dug plus a bit of cola. The mid-palate was almost nonexistant so you kind of went from entry to finish pretty quick (much like high school sex!). The wine would have been more complete with a weightier mid-palate but, all in all, I still enjoyed it. 89pts.

Medium garnet color. Nose of red fruits & spice. Notes of red cherry, currants, spices & earth. Consistently appealing Pinot that shows the best of what Oregon has to offer. Drinking nicely now.

Dark cherry fruit - seems darker and riper than many 2010s I've had, though there's a lovely sense of weightlessness and elegance on the palate. More body than the basic WV bottling, and there's also some lurking structure in the background. Became more transparent on day 2 with a greater perception of acidity. I liked this a lot.

Bright red fruit nose with a good dose of Oregon terroir, funky, barnyard, earth, and spices on the end. Smells great. Really bright red fruit initially, leading into ripe cranberry and then grapefruit in the finish. Really bright acidity, on the very upper end yet still having a sense of balance. Surprising color in glass for a 2010, they usually aren't this dark. Long finish, but largely fruit driven. Delicious, easy to understand wine.

Wow, what time in a decanter can do. Fairly tight in the beginning but the bright cherry really came through after 1.5 hrs in the decanter
