This really stepped up and perhaps it was the food we had with it. Anyway classic Pinot colour with little bricking. Slightly astringent nose like putting you face into a fruit bush. Cream cherry flavours mixed with raspberry. Subtle and same with the acid. Not hugely long or bold finish but somehow that would have upset the balance.

I forgot I still had a couple of these. Very nice. A mix of red and blue fruits, some slight forest scents, and a little bit of smoke. Well balanced. Still a beauty!

Remains one of the best value Pinots on the planet, particularly if you give it c 1o years of ageing. Clearly new world but with some nice tertiary notes now
