Monthly tasting club "The Tasting Club" 2016-?; Oaked Chardonnay (@ WW): In the bouquet nutty and slightly oxidized impressions, ripe apples, butter and toast as well. On the palate a full bodied wine with a firm dose of oak, white fruits like litchi, apricots, butter candy. If you like fresh and elegant this is not your style. If you like full bodied and tasty this could be your wine. No score from me.

Not as much acidity as the Ingrid's Vineyard, but still had a nice finish. This fat-boy had tropical fruit aromas that are typical of Monterey County and a round freshness reminiscent of Chassagne. I normally don't drink buttery oaky Chardonnay, but on this night, both my wife and I were craving some gold colored wine that's gone through M.L.F. This is not the type of wine to chill down too much, as it can come across malic and harsh. When it's just slightly chilled, it's personality comes through more appropriately.
