My second of 3 bottles, this was once again spectacular. The taste profile is as previous note. It does make a point that aging white Burgundy isn't always a lottery.

Drinking at its peak, this is everything you could want from a mature Bâtard-Montrachet. Nicely perfumed with peach and pear, the palate has a restrained butteriness and a lingering finish with lemon notes. On this showing this could stay at this level for another 5 years or more.

Drinking at OTTO with 'the wine group' - host - Dr. Chan Wingto. Again drinking straight after opening. Lovely nose, slighty tight, pears and apples - hints of being lean. On the palate it was a pleasure - layers of fruits with out being overpowering. An hour later - it opened up fully. Intoxicating nose with out being too "fat" - lemak we called it here.
