Very restrained and a bit thin. Sour cherries and cranberries. Didn't find it very interesting. Prefer Joseph Swan's offerings for this style of minimalist Pinots.

Flat brick red. Sold to me by a trusted vendor as a "geeky" cali pinot. Initially "geeky" pinot seemed like a good thing. In retrospect, I think I misunderstood him. This was not geeky in terms of fascinating or pleasurable. On the nose there are some red and blue fruits and a hint of herbaceous spice. Across the palate, there are some typical california pinot red fruits (strawberries) as well as some cola and peppercorns. It certainly was interesting and made me think a little about the differences between Northern and Southern California, where Santa Cruz fits in etc. I like it but it does not trip my mesolimbic dopamine system or make me stop and wonder at world. Reasonably well made. At $36 not a great value. I am not unhappy I wandered down this path but I will not be back.
