Very classic nose showing som quite ripe notes, kirsch, alcohol, plenty of fruit; powerfull stuff. Some local herbs here, needs a bit of time to open. Gains Southern feel on the second day. Still a young wine.

Ripe dark fruit, rich and round, but not over the top, a bit of earth and spice, and some balancing acidity. In the maturity zone. Excellent bottle.

A super CdP drinking beautifully. Opened yesterday; finished remaining half of the bottle this evening. Toned down softer somewhat today but shows no less power and concentration. Blackberry, fruitcake, and a bit of licorice. Excellent. Has many years ahead of happy drinking.
