Needs a significant decant. Graphite, tart cherries, dried red cherries, earth, and aged barrel scents on the nose. Cranberries, tart cherries, red cherries, and earth on the palate. Tart, slightly aggressive acidity, lightly grippy tannins, medium finish. Fairly light, still seems a tad unbalanced, but it was good with dinner.

A bit subdued initially, with bright red cherry, red fruits, light earth, some leather, black tea and mulling spices. Medium acidity and finish, and the wine continued to evolve and open up over the course of dinner and gained in weight and complexity.

The wine is a light ruby red color. The very enticing nose has cherries, strawberries, baking spices, some earthiness, and a nice herbal note. This has light to medium body, great acidity, and some subtle tannins. On the palate there is a very nice balance between the fruit and savory elements. The finish has nice length and again shows very nice balance. This isn't a big, ripe, highly extracted Pinot, this is much more feminine and nuanced. This is tasting very nice but is still on the young side.

Tremendous aromatics. Clean fruit and earth all in one. The palate shows great red fruit, medium acid and light tannin. Lightly extracted and earthy. Not sure where the fruit is from. Seems to be getting into the zone right now. I am sure it will age fine but it seems with a little air, the drinking window is open so why not take it down.

Needs a few hours of air. Red and black cherry, blackberry, earth, strawberry, and a touch of caramel and something that reminds me of a dentist office. Cranberry, black cherry, earth, spice, and blackberry on the palate. There's sort of an odd transition from start to finish at present, and the mid is a bit soft. The aftertaste is terrific however. Overall, the jury is out on this one.
