  Beautiful mature Rioja, stewed cherry fruit, hint of vanilla, gentle spice and a very long finish.

  Soft and balanced tannins with acidity in check. Nice wine, but not a lot of depth.

  Very enjoyable wine that’s a good value. Smokey essence and notes of cocoa, coffee, blueberries and blackberries.

  1/3. Excellent cork, decanted 1/2 hr. Deep ruby, touch of purple even, narrow pale ruby rim. Youthful, quite oaky nose, red and black berry fruit, mocha. Medium/full bodied, rich, ripe fruit, plush with ripe, soft tannins, predominantly black fruited, mocha, vanilla, perhaps a touch of savour but very youthful flavour profile still, decent fresh acidity, finish not terribly long and showing a touch of heat from time to time. Quite "modern" actually. Not sure about this but it's certainly in need of more time if it is to become interesting.
