Thought this bottle had all the great characteristics Evan and I described back in December of 2013. young, dark fruit, with hints of game and the woods. This time was even more well integrated. a very good example of burgundy.
Drank with OT at Lafayette. Fabulous nose filled with earth and blackberries. In the mouth the wine was quite silky and elegant, making its grand cry heritage quite apparent. Even thought this was immensely enjoyable now it could benefit from some more cellaring.
Young and concentrated on the nose with great meat, spice, plummy fruit, and sauvage. Very perfumed. Spicy with good fruit on the palate, clear and transparent. Cherry and spice on the finish - textbook Burgundy and delicious. Nose - 5-5.5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17-17.5/20.
