Better than the previous bottle - which I had suspected to announce the imminent decay of this wine - my last bottle managed to somewhat reconcile me with this Puligny. Typical honey, vanilla and butter notes, quince and citric background, providing an overall balanced and enjoyable drinking sensation. Good pairing with our scampis. Drink now.

Not up to expectations. Although most of the typical honey, vanilla and butter notes are present the wine lacks aromatic intensity and lack of acidity, giving a “tired” impression. Over the peak? For that reason the pairing with the Epoisses failed to impress.

Taut and a little nervy, like a frisky colt. Lemon, butter, stone fruit, quite tangy. Slight bitterness that resolves itself like a very subtle oil of cloves. Hmm.

Clean, clear, straw colored Very buttery, with lots of oak and vanilla present. Kerosene, sea grass, and mandarin orange also presented themselves on the nose.
Great acidity, tastes much different than the nose. Very little oak , much more lemon rind, dry, with a tart gooseberry finish on the back of the mouth
The wine was drinking nicely, with a medium (+) finish. I dont know if it will get much better with age though.

Citrus and vanilla nose. Citrus, tropical fruits and hazelnut on the palate with excellent acid balance. Very nice lingering overall mouthfeel. Yum!
