Basically consistent with my last bottle. Nose of smoke, spices, tobacco and herbs. Medium powered taste of blackberry, dark plum with some bitterness which is the signature of Malbec. Inward and serious style, not as sweet and fruity as Argentina one. Some violet floral aroma. Medium body with notable tannin at finish. OK for casual drinking now.
Great MALBEC from France!!!!!!!!!! Sustained colour, dark crimson, practically black. Pleasant and expressive intensity on the nose, with notes of black fruits (black currant, blackberry, blueberry), sweet spices (cinnamon, vanilla), a touch of cocoa and a pleasant cigar box scent. Sumptuous mouth aroma, the coated tannins making it velvety. The finish lingers with a sensation of richness. We enjoyed with a duck confit!
