  • Fantastic showing by this bottle. Needed 2-3 hours of air to come together. Incredibly youthful color, fruit and structure that suggest a long life ahead. Intoxicating nose of berry preserve, lavender and crushed rocks. Medium plus weight. Tart cherries, strawberries and Christmas spices on the palate. Lots of fine tannins and fresh acidity keep this very well balanced. Long and tasty. Probably 5+ years away from peak drinking but really enjoyable tonight unlike a 1995 Faiveley NSG Damodes which was very timid and mostly disappointing about a year ago.
