A very pleasant surprise to pull the cork to find such an enjoyable wine. A bit of a sweet flavor but not over the top. Still good fruit. Just a smooth, excellent bottle of wine with a lingering finish. That said, I would drink remaining bottles in the near term. I’m just not sure that there is any upside to waiting to enjoy this wine.

Nose of raspberry jam and christmas spice. Full body. Purple color with significant bricking. Soft tannins with good acidity. Cranberry, raspberry, port, and maple syrup flavors. Unusual. The acidity keeps the sweet fruit at bay. Certainly ready to drink. Not sure where this goes with more aging, but it could be interesting if more odd secondary flavors emerge. It runs the risk of just losing freshness and becoming a bit flabby. Decant for sediment. 14.7% abv.

Gloriously mellow, fruity assertiveness grown to mature charm. Enough acid and tannin to last a bit more, but great now. First bottle emptied at a party.

Good wine, not a great zin. The WS zin's have good fruit without the zin spice.
