HDH auction tasting at Tru; 5/15/2015-5/16/2015 (Chicago, IL): 2004 Raveneau is almost surely among some of the best things that have ever come from France. Intense citrus on the nose that just promises acidity in spades, and boy does it deliver. Classic Raveneau, marrying the intense citrus and super high acids with a lovely salinity. The finish is relaxed by a bit of chalkiness that helps calm everything else down.
