Lighter style grenache, with pretty garnet color. Nose of mint and herbs, with some off notes of menthol and butterscotch chips that blew off after an hour or so in the glass, allowing mellow cherry tones to come through. Rather one-dimensional, round cherry flavors in the mouth. Might not be a representative bottle.

Back to the Future: Then and Now (Pappas Bros.): The nose had sweet cherry, earth, spice, and cedar. The palate had cherry, earth, cedar, and some raspberry on the finish.

Global GRENACHE BYO dinner at The French Bakery (The French Bakery, Kane Concourse, Bay Harbor Islands, FL): Flight 1, A. Gus & Jeannie's wine from Dennis Scholl.Surprisingly this wine was much heavier in style than the 05 Chronique. It was very good, but outclassed by the other 2 wines in the flight.
