Wow. What a beautiful aged California Pinot... Color still deep red with some bricking at rim. The nose was bright with dark cherry and some secondary earthy notes. The palate was a stunner - despite fifteen years of age, this had a cool-toned candied element up front (not sweet, though) and followed with black cherry, more earthy notes, good acid and a very long finish. If an imaginary village called Vosne Anderson existed in Burgundy, this might be it's premier cru vinyard. :-) One of the best aged California Pinots I've ever tasted. Just stellar with some wild salmon and potatoes.

Really bizarre...upon opening it had a wonderful nose of cherries, dark chocolate, and espresso. No mid-palate and fell totally flat with no finish whatsoever. After an hour in the decanter it came alive and had nice layering and a finish that lifted nicely. Was quite enjoyable with food.

Wow. Great dark cherry intermixed some spice. Showing some development signs because while there is lots of fruit, it is very integrated and has a gentleness that I don't remember in its youth. Long lingering finish. Lots of life ahead but drinking beautifully.

Terrific wine. Full berry fruit with great finishing balance. Not at all heavy but made a big impact. A very strong showing 12 years on. (92)
