Note de menthe en rétro. Très bon pour le prix!! Je vais faire provision du 2010!!!

  • This wine is a collaboration between 2 producers. The wine is made by Alain Graillot who produces wines in the Northern Rhone. Thalvin has been making wine in Morocco since 1920 and is the oldest operating winery in the country. This is 100% syrah. Drank this next to a pair of Washington Syrah with a smoked beef brisket. Medium red color. The lightest of the 3 Syrah. Notes of cranberries and bing cherries. Solid tannins. Surprisingly nice for a wine from Africa and good value since I got this on sale for $8. 87 points.

  • Sweeter fruited than I remember, but with lots of vibe on the back end.

  • Maybe a faulty cork. Not corked, but the fruit is much more mature than I'd expect. This wine feels like its 15 years old. Underbrush, leather, dried red fruit. Lots of mineral quality on the palate. Yes, copper. Just an odd wine. Something's off here.

  • PnP. Deep violet-plum color, almost inky. Insubstantial, flinty nose -- floral perfume, bramble berries, pepper, chalk. Taste: Quite saline with heavy notes of beef blood and copper, eventually opening into a more delicate expression of fruit and blackberry-cassis acidity. Very slight hint of pepper. Light, youthful mouthfeel. Short+ finish.
