Rhone style white blind tasting session (Extra Space): Tasted blind. Pop and poured. Drank over 2.5 hours. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of oxidative nuttiness, honey, slight stone fruits. Developed. On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of honey, cream, nuttiness, citrus lemon, slight peach. Medium- finish. Good quality. Would have drank better ~2 years ago. Not for further ageing. 30% Viognier, 30% Marsanne, 30% Bourboulenc, and 10% Clairette that's aged 80% in stainless steel tank, and 20% in small barrels. Coudoulet is a single vineyard near the chateau itself.

As usual, Beaucastel delivers a really good CDR Blanc with mid weight stone fruit, floral notes, abit of nutmeg and good acidity at its core, all with pretty good depth for a CDR. PnP and drinking really well tonight.

Decent and tasty. Nicely glycerin imbued, judicious use of oak, tasty fruit and while fairly full bodied this has good definition. Interesting and would like to retry.

Friendly spicy, nice glass, but a bit middle of the road.
