Hardly any signs of ageing - garnet in the glass. Unbelievably elegant nose of dark cherry, maraschino cherry, smoke and forest floor. Palate showed signs of slightly fading fruit but what was there was so smooth. Sweet, ripe cherry with completely integrated tannins and a medium-long smoky, mushroomy finish. Incredibly civilised.

Had this one yesterday and it was trully stunning, beautiful nose of flowers and wet earth. On the mouth it was very iron-ish, thin tannins, some red fruit, earthy with good acidity to bring it all together. Lovely bottle. Drinking beautifully right now.

Amber edges with a ruby core. Pleasant nose of sweet strawberries. On the palate, red fruit, quite tart and acidic, and the texture was a little lean. Not bad, but a bit imbalanced. It has enough remaining fruit to last a bit longer, but it may not improve.

Well Beachbum, you are right about this one. Gorgeous wine ready to go now. Dark fruit with earthy meaty notes. Touch of barnyard. Tannins completely resolved, great balance and decent finish.

Definitely typical for its vintage with truly impressive acidic core. This wine drunk much younger than it's age indicates. Nice berry nose with developing secondary notes. One of those bottles where the last glass was the best. I would wait out a little longer for the acidity to fully integrate.

(Louis Jadot Beaune 1er Cru Boucherottes Domaine des Héritiers Louis Jadot) Nice mulberry and fig nose; tasty, tart cherry and red fruit palate with a hint of prune mid-palate and high acidity; medium finish
