Nice. A bit bretty upon opening, but this blows off quickly. The wine shows aromas and flavors of blackberry, blackcurrant, dark tobacco, toffee, butterscotch, and a lingering floral perfume. The finish is moderately tannic and moderately long. An excellent value, as are Guigal Crozes-Hermitages generally.
A lovely, elegant Syrah with captivating savory notes on the nose and a full, fruit-forward palate. This is still holding up nicely and can hang on for some years yet, though the tannins are almost imperceptible other than providing a substrate for the fruit.
