PnP, incredibly delicious for an off vintage and much better than the last. Dark fruit, blackberry, soil, ballpen, liqueur. Juicy that it imparts a sweetness. 93

Excellent condition bottle. I dont think i need to go in to details on this. Everyone knows how a quality Bordeaux at this age tastes. My bottle was still alive and kicking. Definitely no need to wait any longer. Just drink up and create beautiful memories.

Very elegant nose with notes of underwood, sweet fruit, cherries, copper, smoke, leather, and earth. It's fully mature, but not tired. Good acidity with fully integrated tannins on the palate along with cedar notes, a bit of caramel, sweet red fruit, and forest notes. Long finish that lingers. Excellent mature Bordeaux!

My first Cheval Blanc, and one less wine on my bucket list, thanks to generous friends. This had major funk on the nose initially, and everyone wrote it off. Later in the night, the group was split. Ann and Steve still found something on the nose that was off putting to them. Eric and I ended up really enjoying the wine. Whatever it was, he and I were not sensitive to it. This fleshed out, leaving a soft, lightly earthy wine. Tannin is resolved but with a nice acidity to keep it lively. Nice mix of darker fruit, mushroom and soil. Maybe not a completely sound bottle, but the most interesting to me, along with the 62 Latour.
