loads of blue fruits, touch of the dusty, after finish is like you just ate a fresh grape. Juicy mouth with a touch of skin tannin texture. Fantastic wine

Very dark purple. Lots of blueberry and black fruit on the nose. Thick and juicy, with a lot of fruit flavor. Tannic, esp. for a Zin, so I wish I had waited on this -- it was better with grilled steak.

Full throttle Zin with lots of blueberry and cherry. Adds an herbal, briery note on the finish with nice tannins. So thick it coats the tongue but has enough acidity to balance it out. If you like Zin this is right up there with the best.

Incredibly dark purple/black color. The most backwards/closed Zin I've ever had from JC Cellars. Nose showed plums and black fruit and pencil with a hint of anise. The palate needs air to open up (at least an hour at this stage), but finally started to show black fruits and some racy undertones. Fairly tannic, but great fruit hiding back there. Give this at least a year.

High alcohol and the balance was off. Deep color, raisinny flavor, off putting yet OK for the center cut pork we had.
