Drank this bottle for our anniversary, after a heavy french bistro inspired meal. This wine is quite acidic, and cut through the lingering fat. There are very dominant oak notes present. There is no mistaking that this is a California Chardonnay based wine. It drinks and tastes like a sparkling California Chardonnay. That being said, we did enjoy this wine quite a bit, although the oak was rather strong.
Light yellow to yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout with tiny, steady beading. Nose of lychee, lime, herbs and mixed yellow fruit. Flavors of lemon, lime and cherries. Medium acidity, medium to full bodied. Drink now.

Greatly improved with time and a great pairing (lobster). Nice nose of strawberry, kiwi, citrus, and toast. On the palate, clean with strawberry, citrus, toast. Decent finish.

Lovely pale rose gold color - bit restrained on the nose. Lotsa lots of mousse that lingers a bit long. Nice enough, nothing flawed except the timing of opening. I think this is in the middle of being a refreshing lively youngster and an interesting mature bottle. For at this time it may be closed, lacking any secondary characteristics, and therein lies the conundrum... will it ever? Does a well made central coast sparkler ever develop into a brooding almond laced complex bubbly? Does it have the stuffing for that? I will never know.
