2013 La Paulee, New York; 3/12/2013-3/14/2013: Wow, deep, brooding, rich, dark cherry, excellent acidity, fine tannins, just beautiful.

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Metropolitan Pavilion - New York NY): Tasting. Truly a superb Echezeaux. Mostly red cherry aromas with great Asian spice. Same spice on palate with both red and black cherry. Sensational length and textures to long finish, already showing fascinating nuance through to finish.
La Paulée de New York 2013 Grand Tasting (Metropolitan Pavilion, New York): Lost my notes on the Mugneret-Gibourg wines, but the lineup was terrific. Tried the Vosne, Nuits Chaignots, Echezeaux, and Clos Vougeot. Wines of purity and grace. The Chaignots was predictably a very elegant rendition of Nuits St. Georges. Love what the sisters are doing here.
Focus on 2010 Burgundy- The 2013 La Paulee Grand Tasting (Metropolitan Pavilion, New York): Elegant, crisp black fruit. Very strong, ringing acidity. Holding back quite a bit now. Not a gigantic Grand Cru but very refined, great length and persistence. Really full of finesse and may turn out to be truly outstanding.
La Paulée de New York 2013 (Metropolitan Pavilion, NYC): Nose is holy cow level pretty. Palate has a heavy jam with a pronounced viscosity, but the acid renders it round with a tannic finish. Very impressive.
