  • Took a minute to open up - did not decant. This is elegant and silky with mostly red but some black fruit, and eventually some forest aromas and dried flowers. Intensity without weight. In the end its a pretty seamless wine, and the texture is gorgeous - velvet but well structured.

  • Translucent ruby color. Nose of lithe violets, fresh cut raspberry, damp cellar, iron granules. Layers of dark cherry, black raspberry, ferric notes, fine dirt, and subtle spice on the satin-textured palate. Bright acidity and firm but filed off tannin. Longer finish of pure berry, blue fruit, fine iron, and holiday spice. Fresh, young, and built to age.

  • Dinner at Min Jiang: Floral, perfumed nose. Elegant, cool dark red fruit with some spice on the palate, thought this was a CdB from the slightly rustic and coarse tannins. Had the aristocratic vibe of a good maker.

  • PnP. Nightcap at home, have been craving for some Burgundy. Clean floral nose without any earthy elements. Good acidity of the vintage, tannins partially soften and fine tannins. Not a lot of complexity at the moment but good balance, drinking well now. Good detail and precision. Would guess Chambolle village in blind tasting. Good village wine but ‘14 Grivot VR village consumed recently is still a better wine and cheaper, but it’s a Lafarge from good vintage…..what to do? One pays for consistency in Burgundy.

  • This bottle was in the zone. Velvety soft and juicy with the perfect balance of earthiness. I would have guessed Nuits is tasted blind as there was great detail and fruit. I wish I had more. I could drink this every night.
