Initial taste 5 minutes after opening was a little harsh. But I stuck with it and was rewarded with a flavorful bottle of wine that just got better as the evening progressed. I can taste the zinfandel heritage but found this a little more dry and spicy...pepper? This is my first ever cellar tracker review.

I tasted this the second day after opening at slightly below room temp. In Appearance, the wine was clear with a bright purple hue that was consistent right to the rim. The legs were very persistent showing the hefty 15.1% alcohol. The Nose was clean with medium intensity and showing aromas of bing cherry pie filling with vanilla bean and some raspberry, but there weren't many layers here. The Palate was dry and medium+ in body, making it fairly mouth-filling and lush. The Tannins and acidity were medium and were fairly well-balanced with at least a medium+ alcohol. The flavors were again of cherry, vanilla, pie filling, raspberry with a touch of sweet spices. The Finish though was medium at best. Overall, this is a very solid, enjoyable, and easy drinking wine. Don't age this too long though!
